Organized by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and the UK's Department for International Development (DFID), the 2005 annual review activities for the project "ACWF/DFID Partnership in Advocacy and Skills Training for Poor Adolescent Girls" were held in Southwest China's Sichuan Province from February 20-24, 2006.
During the activities, the review group, including an official and an expert from the United Kingdom, traveled to the project's sites in Pingchang and Yilong counties to conduct investigations_including observing training classes, holding discussions and conducting interviews.
Rahul Malhotra, a project official from the United Kingdom, and Nicole de Lalouvi¨¨re, a project expert from the United Kingdom, met five adolescent girls, who were chosen at random from local beneficiaries, to learn what the girls thought of the training. They also visited two beneficiary girls' families, and talked with their parents, to find out how the training had benefited the girls.
