The Group of Spouses of African Heads of Diplomatic Missions is visiting Tangshan Seismic Memorial Hall.

　　On February 20 and 21, 2003, organized by ACWF's International Liaison Department, the Group of Spouses of African Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Beijing visited Tangshan. Yang Yongshan, Deputy Secretary of the Tangshan Municipal Party Committee, met and entertained the group. Lu Xiaoxia, director of the Tangshan Women's Federation, held a work meeting with the group.

　　The spouses visited Memorial Hall of Tangshan, Women's Legal Aid Center, Lunan District's Community Service Center and Tangshan Guzhi Porcelain Group. All marveled at the splendid achievements made in rebuilding Tangshan since the earthquake. They were also interested in the legal aid center. They said the trip helped them better understand Chinese women's awareness of rights.

　　When visiting the service center, after hearing the introduction about the services provided to senior residents, Mme. Cecilia Odeisi Donkor, chairperson of the group and wife of the Ghanaian Ambassador to China, said, "Your kindness and enthusiasm are very moving. Your noble deeds provide warmth to elder people. We hope we'll be able to be together with you to help those who need our help, and to write down together the beauty of life."
Satisfied with the trip, all members of the group said they hoped to cooperate with the ACWF, and hold more highly effective activities.
