On January 5, 2003, sponsored by the ACWF's International Liaison Department, 10 people attended a Chinese-style wedding in Beijing's Qianmen Hotel. They were Mr. Joachin Broudre-Groeger, German Ambassador to China, and his wife, some diplomats from the embassy, and Mr. Robert Engelhardt, representative of German-Based Hanns-Seidel Foundation, and his wife.

　　The Swedish groom and Chinese bride were married amid joyous drum music. Through this activity, the German friends gained a greater understanding of traditional Chinese weddings.
