the invitation of All-China Women's federation,
Mme. N¨¦ziha Ben Yedder, the member of Political
Bureau of Tunisia and her husband have paid a visit
to Beijing and Tianjin from June 23 to 30, 2002.
In Beijing, Mme. Peng Peiyun, Vice Chairperson
of the Standing Committee of the National People's
Congress met and hosted a banquet for Mme. Yedder
and her husband. Mrs. Shen Shji, Vice-President
of ACWF held a working conference with Mme. Yedder.
Mr. Dai Bingguo Minister for International Liaison
Department of the Central Committee of Communist
Party of China and Mr. Zhang weiqing, the Minister
for State Family Planning Commission also met
separately with Mme. Yedder. Mme. Yedder also
paid a visit to Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,
the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Co-operation,
Chinese Women's College, China Children Centre
and a Micro-credit Loans Project in Yanqing. In
Tianjin, Mme. Yedder. visited Tianjin Women's
Job Recreation Centre and a Knitting Mill by rural
women from the countryside. She also visited a
farmer's home
