of the IMAR Project Site Office, headed
a group of 5 project officers from Inner
Mongolian Autonomous Region (IMAR), Hebei
Province and Beijing participated into the
training attachment of the Canada China
Women's Law Project from Sep. 26 to October
8 in Vancouver and Victoria of Canada. Experience
and lessons learned will help to enhance
women's federation's promotion of the inter-agency
cooperation among local public security
bureaus and peoples' courts and other judicial
institutions.
ĦĦĦĦThrough
training sessions, discussions and site
visits, the group focused on the roles played
by the police, the court and the community
and their cooperation. There are some very
impressive information, especially concerning
police responses under the Policy on the
Criminal Justice System Response to Violence
Against Women and Children in Relationships,
correction programs for the offenders, victim
programs and community services such as
transition houses, second stage houses,
and other facilities and accesses in the
community for women and children to food,
laundry, bathing, skill training, counseling,
legal service and legal aid, etc..
