At the inviation of All-China Women's Federation, a 5 member high-level delegation headed by Ms. Hatmadji , Secretary General of Ministry of Women Empowerment of Indonesia, visited Beijing, Nanchang and Shanghai on June 18-27.
　　During their stay in China, they paid courtesy calls to Mme. Gu Xiulian, Vice President of ACWF and Mr. Hu Zhenpeng, Vice Governor of Jiangxi Province. The delegation visited China Population Information and Research Center, Women's Legal Service and Research Center of Law School of Peking University, China Women's College, Shanghai Women's Training School, Women's Hotline, and quail farm in Xiaolan township and home business in Liantang township of Jiangxi Province.
　　The ACWF and Shanghai Provincial Women's Federation held working discussions with the delegation and exchanged their experiences. The delegation showed great interests in the legal service and poverty alleviation programs carried out by ACWF. They expressed their wishes to bring the Chinese experiences back to Indonesia as a reference to the drafting of Laws concerning women's rights and interests and domestic violence.
There were 3 male PhDs in the delegation, who were in the position of deputy ministers and director general. Before joined the Ministry of Women Empowerment, they have been trained on gender issues. They believed that gender equality must be supported by men as well.
