A group of ten American Women Artists had a meeting with Chinese women artists at ACWF on May 8th. The Chinese artists included Ms. Zi Huayun, a famous dancer, Ms. Du Heng and Ms. Guo Yunjuan, artists, Ms. Tao Yongbai, a art commentator and Ms. Ding Baizhi, Director of Art Department of BJTV, etc. Among the American delegates were photographers, playwrights, art commentators and correspondents. Mrs. Zou Xiaoqiao, Deputy director of the International Liaison Department of ACWF presided over this meeting. The group introduced American Women's Suffrage Movement and Opinions of American Art Community towards the works of contemporary Chinese women artists. They discussed women's unique understanding and way of expression of art, the status and contribution of women in art field and the issue of gender equity in broader sense.
