¡¡¡Madam Liu Hairong, Vice President of ACWF and Director of the Office of the State Council Women and Children's Work Committee, met with the Gender Experts Team of CIDA (Canada International Development Agency) on May 15th. CIDA is revising its Gender-Equality Policy formulated in 1995 that guided Canada-China International Governmental Cooperation. The experts came specifically to learn China's policies and plans to promote gender equality, ACWF's opinions toward the problems faced by Chinese women and its experience in promoting gender equity. Madam Liu gave a comprehensive and detailed briefing on these issues.
