The International Liaison Department of ACWF invited women diplomats and wives of diplomatic missions of Latin American and Caribbean countries in China to visit the Community Activity Center of Asian Games Village, a Spring Bud Class of Hepingli High School and Chaolai Agronomic Garden on April 12th, 2001. Madam Feng Cui, Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation was present. 19 women diplomats and wives of diplomatic missions of 10 Embassies or Representative Offices as well as correspondents of Latin News Agency attended this activity. They said that through this visit they gained a better understanding of the development of China, especially rural people's life and the environment for survival and development of Chinese women and girls. In the afternoon, they planted trees with their Chinese sisters in Chaolai Agronomic Garden to symbolize the friendship between women in China and in Latin-American and Caribbean countries.
