on April 3, 1949, the All-China Women’s Federation
(ACWF) is a mass organization dedicated to
the advancement of Chinese women of all ethnic
groups in all walks of life.

is a multi-tiered organization with local women’s federations and group members
at every divisional level of government. |  | The
highest level of ACWF governance is the National Congress of Chinese Women. This
Congress convenes every five years to deliberate and decide on the goals, guidelines
and tasks of national women’s movement, to develop work plans for the next five
years, to amend the Constitution of the All-China Women’s Federation and to elect
ACWF’s Executive Committee. | |
