To educate and offer guidance to women to strengthen their spirit of self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-improvement; to improve their competence through cultivating their talents.

To represent women’s participation in the democratic management and supervision of state and public affairs, and in the formulation of laws, decrees and regulations concerning women and children, and to protect their legitimate rights and interests.

To render services to women and children by strengthening links and coordination with all sectors of the society and to urge them to work in the best interests of women and children.

To consolidate and enhance unity among women of all ethnic groups in China, to develop friendly relations with women in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and with overseas Chinese women and thus promote the great cause of China’s reunification. To develop active, friendly exchanges with women of other countries to deepen understanding, enhance friendship, and safeguard world peace.
