The Rural Land Contracting Law promulgated
in August 2002 stipulates that women enjoy equal rights in
land contracting. The rights of land contracting for married,
divorced and widowed women should be guaranteed and dealt
with care.
In recent years, women's federations and other people's
organizations like trade unions have participated in the drafting
of laws including the Trial Implementation Measures of Birth
Insurance of Enterprise Employees and Regulations on the Healthcare
of Women Employees.
