The female participation rate has reached 73.4 percent and
the male participation rate is 77.6 percent. Women also participate
actively in the upholding and promotion of social, vocational
and family morals. Their sense of social responsibility has
increased dramatically. In society, women promote civilization,
care about public welfare and participate in environmental
protection. At work, women concern themselves with work groups'
affairs, fulfil their duties and are willing to make useful
contributions. Within families, women advocate harmony between
couples, respect elder family members and care about the weak,
educate their children in scientific methods and follow civilized
and healthy lifestyles. Women have created a series of activities
such as the Family Culture and Art Festival, body building
exercises, the Little Citizen Moral Cultivation Program, the
Youth Reading Party and lead the way in bringing-up children
and assisting with education. Such activities enrich people's
spiritual lives and help create a harmonious and secure social
environment.

Organizations Participate in the Drafting of Laws,
Regulations and Policies
On behalf of women, women's federations participate
in the democratic management and supervision of the State
and social affairs, participate in the drafting of laws and
regulations concerning women, and protect the lawful rights
