        Members of the population aged 14 and under accounted for 22.9 percent; the population aged 15-64, 69.99 percent; and the population aged 65 and over, 7.09 percent.
        In 1995, there were 70 million poverty-stricken people who did not have enough food. By 2001, however, that number had fallen to less than 30 million, and 60 percent of those people were especially poor. They included people who needed family support and social relief.
